Synopsis
The story revolves around the life of a boy named, Richard, who loves nature and poetry which is quite the opposite to his brother, Gus and his dad, who enjoy doing stuff like hunting. He prefers sitting by himself, read poems and he disapproves what his dad and brother love. They shoot animals! That strikes to him as something which is very wrong!
Mr Kilmer is a poet. He is also a naturalist and a journalist who is in the military service.
How can one be a poet and yet be so brave to work in the military at the same time? A poet and an army. Certainly to Richard, these two are very different in their nature.
That has inspired Richard to send a letter to Sergeant Kilmer.
Surprisingly, he gets a reply.
He befriends Mr Kilmer and they constantly keep contacting each other, until one day...
What happens to Richard? What happens to Mr Kilmer?
